obsessed

My latest obsession if you can't figure it out is the television show Freaks and Geeks. my roommate brought the entire season (of which there sadly is only one) on DVD so i could watch it and i've blown through 4 of 6 discs in one day. i'm thinking it literally is my new favorite TV show even though it is no longer on air and only has 18 cherished episodes. for those of you who have never seen it, Freaks and Geeks is pretty much about the dynamics of high school social life, focusing on the experiences of the Weir siblings. there is the older sister Lindsay, former mathlete gone "freak", who hates high school and doesn't really understand life. she starts hanging out with a bunch of burnout kids (James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Siegel) and learns that they are more than just potheads and screw ups. then there is the younger brother Sam who is a freshmen and is trying to stay out of trouble with his two friends Bill and Neil. Sam is the typical small freshmen who despite his size wants to still experience every visceral experience high school has to offer. the pair and their friends make for the funniest scenarios and most entertaining thing i've seen in awhile. as if Seth Rogen, James Franco, and Jason Seigel weren't enough for me to give this show a rave review, it is legitimately great.
