Prom

Friday night was Upper Division Ball. yes my school just has one prom for both juniors and seniors. and yes, it is on a friday because it coasts significantly less to book the Arden Hills Country Club Ballroom on a friday, rather than a saturday, night. i have to say everyone looked really gorgeous (not saying there weren't some terrible ensembles). the music could've been better. over all i had a fun time. it still wasn't the best night ever but i definitely don't regret anything or feel like if i look back on the night i will wish i could forget.

ehh bleh

for some reason i just haven't been in the mood for an update. life hasn't been noring or anything, i just haven't been feeling it.

because we have senior privileges, we are having themed days where their is a different theme to dress according to. tuesday was nautical day so claire, katie, and i repped it with our stripes. others dressed up too. katie won the first-mate award because she looked the cutest :D

i officially named my phone Jamal because it is black. it is Lil' JJ for short and he is from compton. he had to leave compton because he was in a gang but got kicked out because he can't take orders well. when he discovered his 3G capabilities he ended up with ATT and that is how he and i got together....don't judge me.

he's just not that into you

this weekend i went to North Carolina for a memorial for my cousin. yes it was sad. yes i am ok. no, i dont really need to talk about it. anyway, on the plane home i read "he's just not that into you", a novel for all of you who are unaware. i saw the movie as well but the book was lol funny, literally. it also might as well have been called "if you are dating luke desio..." or "why your bullshit high school relationship is a failure". it was so truthful and funny. i came to many realizations. something even funnier would be a book for male's explaining similar misconceptions about women. reading them both and comparing them would be wonderful.

lately i've been having so many tests and so much dumb work to do for school. FML? noooo. things are ok other than i dont want to do any of it.

every 15 minutes

first things first. here is a little around the world in 60 seconds, or update of my life at least. i got a prom date, finally. i really should have just gone with this option earlier but i'm a pussy. i love my new phone. we have senior privileges at school and i get to wear whatever i want basically, which is wonderful. tomorrow i am leaving for North Carolina until monday evening.

now down to bussiness: the last two days my school has partaken in the Every 15 Minutes program. for those who don't know, E15 is a program used to educate (and probably scare) kids about drunk driving. basically there are 3 major parts. first of all they pull kids out of class every 15 minutes to represent that a person in america is injured due to drunk driving every 15 minutes. the other part is that they have a simulated car crash, which seems very real, with real students from the school, real police, fire, and ambulance, everything. the third part is an assembly/memorial type event on the second day where you honor the person who died, their parents talk, they show a video of the entire thing from start to finish, etc. it is hard to condense and summarize. you really just have to experience it. now i have to say, i am already extremely opposed to drinking and driving. i tell my friends that they can call me no matter what hour, no matter where they are, in any circumstances and i will come pick them up. the events in E15 are not real but they do evoke real feelings. seeing my friend, Elise, and her father who is one of the best people i've ever met, in a situation like that was devastating. during today's memorial i was bawling watching them "die" on the video and hearing their family members speak. what i mostly got out of the entire experience was how much i love christian brothers. E15 at Cb has to be extremely different than at any other school because we are a very faith and community based school. everyone knew the kids who "died" and everyone could at least realize, if not feel the impact themselves. when we pray together, it is strong and we are able to use faith to bring us together even if we are not all catholic. i hope that everyone realizes the sacrifices that people at CB make for one another and see that there are so many wonderful people there. i know our school has so many anal rules but when it comes down to it, all of those stupid little things are so worth it in order to go to a school where i will not only learn so much, but am also in the most caring, loving environment i could ever imagine. i have a hard time fathoming the high concentration of extremely wonderful people that are in such a small place. there are probably about 1300 or so people on the Cb campus on a daily basis and like Mr. Delgado said today, they all have a special place in our community and can never be replaced.

if, ands, buts

let's begin with i don't have a prom date, still, or again. but i have to get one because i bought a nice dress yesterday and i'm the preacher of make your own destiny and you have to go to prom. if i don't go i'll be told about how i'm the biggest hypocrite on the earth.

next, the boys bball team went to arco and they lost by 30 points. but that is ok because the team they played was full of huge men and the only way we would've stood a chance was if we had huge men too. but i still love them, duh.

and our baseball team also lost to jesuit but that is ok because the score was only like 3 to 0 and jesuit it very highly ranked in the nation. welcome back spring sports season!

i haven't been dreaming, and i want to so that maybe i can find some reason. i don't feel that everything happens for a reason and if you knew my situation you could imagine why. God, please prove me otherwise.

i'm a fanatic

i am a fanatic because i live for this^. CB Men's Vasity Basketball. these boys have done it again, doing it big for the win where it counts. we are going to Arco Arena on saturday for the finals!!!!

i'm a fanatic because i love this^ the jonas brothers. i saw JD in 3D last night with my little cousin samantha. she might be 7 and i might be 17 but all that is relative. the Jobros are too perfect in just about every way. the only thing i have to complain about is that they won't have sex until they are married. the chances that i'd get to marry one are very small.

lolzzzz

all weekend i've been hanging out with claire, brittany, ryan, sarah, and kevin. we have fun!

i got my hair done yesterday. my color is all back to fabulous, and all the yucky ends are cut off. i have cute, trendy, medium length hair for the time being, which is great! i love it!

tonight i am going to dinner at julia's house. i haven't been over there in ages. it will be great to see her mom and catch up. i still need a prom date, and i'd like a different prom dress. the boys have another playoff game on wed. that is my life's update in about 30 seconds.
